When I first viewed this property many years ago, I fell in love with the tucked away location in a beautiful village, the house was full of character and charm, and I knew this would be a perfect family home. All these years on we have created many fond memories as well as home improvements which make for a real wow factor!

The layout of my home makes it perfect for entertaining as well as general family life. I have a downstairs WC which has proved useful.

Leading outside to my private enclosed rear garden, you will find a hot tub. We had a patio laid specifically for this which is built for the weight as well as a drain next to it. It is superb to enjoy the hot tub looking up at the stars at night during the winter and a real treat on those hot summer days. As the garden is wrapped around the house, I have a secret garden which I use to store the logs for the log burner – it is a real pleasure and I have very much enjoyed the outside space in my time living here.

Upstairs you will find three double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. They are generous in proportions with ample storage space and again a beautiful flow of natural night. In the second bedroom I have a wash hand basin which is ideal when guests stay.

I have a good size family bathroom.

During my time living here I have undertaken a variety of works to include new kitchen in 2013, an extension of the driveway to allow parking for 4 cars and the replacement patio for the hot tub. I have undertaken cosmetic works as well as various improvements to the bathrooms.

I have a garage with an electric overhead door and also have an electric car charging point to the front.

My home nestles in the quaint village of Whitwell, it has an abundance of greenery and is so peaceful. My neighbours are friendly and there is a real sense of community here. We have a local doctor’s surgery; village shop as well as a fabulous tearoom and village pub. Despite being tucked away we are close to Hitchin, Welwyn Garden City and Harpenden with all the amenities those towns have to offer as well as the high-speed trains into London.

The time has come for pastures new and to let another family enjoy all this home has to offer.
